The WCI 8th grade team are the new 2019 Redemption Tournament Champions!!!  The tournament was at the Ladera Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch Southern California.

The team payed 3 very competitive teams.  The first game was against large AAU power house Team Nikos.  WCI won 46-40.  The second game was vs Chula Vista Lady Hawks.  That game was also  a very close for most of the game, but WCI was able to stretch it out 43-26 at the end. 

The final game was against National Powerhouse the Lady Soldiers San Diego.  WCI was down most of the game and in the last 5 minutes  WCI got the lead and never looked back!  They won the championship 46-36.  The lady Soldiers had a 6'2" center and a 5'8" Shooting guard with Steph Curry range and just as consistent.  It was for sure one of the best wins that this team ever earned.
