Good afternoon everyone,
I would ask everyone to please do the following:
Finally, I would like to share this link with all of you Social Distancing: This is Not a Snow Day, originally published by Ariadne Labs, from Asaf Bitton, MD, MPH. Out of all the information that I had to gather regarding the COVID-19, this article I was able to find the most useful. It provides you with medical information and what to expect from guidelines in a few weeks to come. I highly suggest you read it.
Registration for Spring 2020 Impact Developmental Program (IDP) is officially open! This program specializes in basic basketball skills and development for girls in 2nd-6th grade.
The mission of IDP is to introduce young athletes to the proper skills and techniques of basketball while helping to develop a passion for the game, in a fun and well-organized structure. IDP also serves as a development program catering to girls interested in becoming part of our traveling teams. IDP will focus, but not be limited to, basic mechanics including footwork (jump stops, pivots), dribbling, and shooting a basketball. In addition, we will introduce "court lingo" so players can better understand basic terminology and court dynamics.
IDP was developed and will be ran by current Impact coaches and players. If you have a young child interested in basketball and fits the criteria below:
This year’s IDP will start March 15, 2020. The players will have the opportunity to practice and improve their skills, and also have the opportunity to compete in games against each other on Sundays.
West Coast Impact is expecting a lot of registrations from different school districts from the area. For that reason we will only be taking the first 60 that will register. Registration will close on March 2nd.
We look forward to introducing, teaching and developing the young girls from our area the correct way of playing basketball.
