    WCI Skill Evaluation and Shooting Clinic

    The WCI junior and middle school basketball programs will start their skill evaluations for new and returning basketball players interested on playing during the 2019-2020 traveling basketball season.  These seasons will start in August 19th follow by the following days: 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 30th. 

    Registration will be on the 19th from 5pm to 6pm.  If you are new to the WCI organization, you must bring a WCI Medical Release Form to the registration. 

    The WCI organization will also be focusing on improving shooting mechanics during these sessions.  The practices will be held at Emerson JH in Davis CA.  These practices are for girls in the 3rd-8th grade.

    Simpson University Visit's WCI's 2020-2021 Class

    Coach Pringle, (Simpson University Head Womans Basketball Coach) stopped by our Red and Blue practice in order to evaluate and recruit potential talent for 2020 and 2021.  Coach Pringle, had the opportunity to address the players as well as parents, and talk about his teaching institution and basketball program.  
     

    Coach Pringle was impressed on how the girls performed at practice and the good questions that they were asking during the interview process.  This provided our girls a realistic picture of what is needed in order to become a student athlete in college and at Simpson University. 

    The WCI organization would like to thank coach Pringle for attending and providing a future opportunity to our players.

    UC Merced Womans Basketball Visit's WCI's 2020-2021 Class.

    Coach Cherry, (UC Merced Head Womans BasketballCoach) stopped by our Red and Blue practice in order to evaluate and recruit potential talent for 2020 and 2021.  Under coach Cherry's command, UC Merced is constantly ranked in the top 25 NAIA basketball programs in the US.  She had the opportunity to address the players as well as parents, and talk about the UC Merced academic and basketball programs.  
     

    She was very pleased on how the girls performed at practice and the good questions that they were asking during the interview process.  This provided our girls a realistic picture of what is needed in order to become a student athlete at UC Merced. 

    The WCI organization would like to thank coach Cherry for attending and providing a future opportunity to our players.

    West Coast Impact Defense and Agility Class

    The defense and agility session consists of a variety of drills that will enhance your coordination, speed, power, and other basketball skilled techniques. The class will be teaching players the techniques of one on one defense as well as team defense. We will focus on footwork, agility, communication, help defense, awareness, and different defensive sets that will help the player and her team improve as a unit.

    We will bring you to the lake, but you most want to drink the water.  If you want to drink that water, join us.

    West Coast Impact Skill Development Classes

    Every session of every level in the West Coast Impact Skill Development Program will consist of hard work and well-taught basketball training. This training service is design to reach the top 1% level or each girl’s age group. This training is also designed to provide an opportunity for new players interested on playing at elite level to develop their basketball skills necessary to joined one of our national and local traveling teams.

    The WCI Skill Development Program offers a unique curriculum for grades 3-12. This year around training programs will no doubt guarantee you the results you have been looking for with your grade school/ high school player. The curriculum is cutting edge, age-appropriate, progressive, yet challenging, utilizing proper equipment and training from our club Director and Professional Trainer Jean Gelpi and Professional Trainer Jackie Wada.

    The curriculum covers:

    • Offensive and finishing moves,
    • Dribbling skills
    • Game situation passing
    • Game situation offensive and defensive drills

    Our goal is to provide the resources and develop the athlete to be the best high school player she or he can be.
